Cervical Cancer Immunization is a frightening disease for women. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is the second largest killer of women after heart disease. But now there is good news for women about cancer prevention. Has been found that immunization can prevent cervical cancer(cervix).

The cervix is the lower part of the uterus that are directly related to the vagina. Cervical cancer is caused by a virus Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). As one of the reproductive organs, where the cervix is the most exposed to the outside world. Various factors are considered as a cofactor (factor that accompanies) the occurrence of cervical cancer, among others multiparitas, smoking, hormonal contraception, sexual diseases, and nutritional factors. At present in developed countries, cervical cancer has decreased thanks to early detection programs through pap smears. The method was successful in reducing mortality rates up to 50%.

So far in the medical world, vaccination is considered the most effective way to prevent the virus incubation in the human body, including human papilloma virus (HPV), the virus that causes cervical cancer (cervix). Just as immunization is known. In the body of vaccinations given by injection will form the body's immune system and defenses against the HPV virus entry into the cervix. Thus, the HPV virus will not get in much less grow and grow in the body.

HPV immunization will be given to women aged 12-14 years, by injection three times in a row in the arm once every two months and be repeated one more time in ten years later. Simplifies the delivery of vaccines and the high success rate to be advantages of this method of prevention.

Unfortunately, prevention through vaccination has weaknesses in terms of cost because it is relatively expensive. This is because the use recombinant technology to produce vaccines is the technology of molecular biology is still very expensive. HPV vaccine can work effectively in the bodies of women in all age groups, but with notes of these women had never been exposed or infected by HPV.

However, there are also reports in which the patient complained of paralysis, Bells Palsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, seizures, blood clots and heart attacks.

Three patients died within a few days to get the vaccine be given with due to blood clots and heart attacks. Of the 42 women who received this vaccine during pregnancy, 18 patients reported adverse side effects including spontaneous abortion and fetal abnormalities. These data disclosed by Judicial Watch, a public interest group involved in the investigation and prosecution of corruption-related issues with the government.

In another surprise, around 1800 adverse reactions reported in patients provided with Gardasil from May 2007 until September 2007 which also included reports of 8 deaths.
